Grant Schapps, January 2024
Grant Schapps, Defence Secretary, has ordered the Royal Marines to justify its existence; it faces being scrapped (Daily Mail, 9th Jan).
My grandfather, Reginald Oswald Powell, was a Marine in the 1939-1945 war; injured overseas. I asked to join in 2001, but they didn't like the cut of my jib at Wrexham Careers office.
Schapps, a man with a history of deceitful unethical business practices, and a dirty crooked sort of character, who controls the Armed Forces at this time, is demanding a 'performance review' of the Marines, to be carried out by the Royal Navy.
Their amphibious assault ships are likely to go, regardless.
Unrelated to this, the Prime Minister has allocated £2.5 billion for Ukraine's armed forces, as a free gift, a handout.
The gift is necessary because Russia has regained most of the territory it lost in the summer. Any day it might break the Ukrainian line of defence, which has no depth or reserve, and roll en masse to Kiev.
One of us doesn't understand whats going on here. Isn't now the time for more Marines, rather than none?
But let's be clear: I always thought hell would freeze over, before the Marines were disbanded. But these are perhaps those kinds of days.
Boris Johnson, January 2024
Boris Johnson denies that he had much to do with squashing the Peace Settlement between Kiev and Moscow, back in 2022, April.
The Peace deal which would have saved perhaps 500,000 Ukrainian men from death and incapacitating injury, and another 250,000 Russians from the same.
Johnson says, in The Times, that anyone who says he ruined the Peace Deal is just echoing 'Russian propaganda'. But he is merely getting himself into further trouble, and making himself visible once again as a confirmed idiot and liar.
For, as I have posted myself, more than a year ago, now, it was not the Russians who claimed this, but the former Israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennet. It is Bennett who first famously claimed that Johnson had wrecked the Peace Talks. There is a massive four hour interview with Bennett in which he explicitly lays out this 'Russian propaganda' as being entirely true.
Now, Britain is de facto at war with Iran-backed Yemen, and with Russia. That's just the start of the world war, in my view.
Perhaps it is treacherous and treasonous to tell the truth. Perhaps there is some deeper plan up the sleeve of The Times, and Johnson, and the Upper Crust of Britain, that I am missing out on here? Perhaps Johnson's lying is part of some deeper plan for world peace, and British welfare?
To me, it just looks like a fool wandering about doing random immoral acts, which push us closer and closer to economic, cultural and military ruin.
I would also note that this man, and his entire class, are up to their nuts in immorality and anti-British things. Didn't he have an illegitimate child while serving as British PM? He was co-habiting in No. 10 Downing Street with a woman with whom he was not married. While such things do go on, they do not go on in 10 Downing Street, until this man and this doomed generation came along.
I should add, that I consider Johnson to be the best of the crop of politicians available, so the worst is yet to be. And there is not one single organisation in Britain, nowhere near to being even one organisation, which could take over and replace the women and men now in charge.
I'm wracking my brains, but, no, this is the best we have.

GRAHAM WILLIAM PHILLIPS Claimant

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN,
COMMONWEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT
AFFAIRS Defendant
--
Graham Phillips has been sanctioned for doing video blogs from Donbas. He has been stripped of his property and cannot legitimately earn any money in the UK. He has made a claim against the Government of the UK in the High Court of Justice. His claim is, that he has freedom of speech.
Bear in mind, we are not at war; and even during wartime, it is typical for men to disagree with foreign policy - as Gladstone did on many occasions, when out of office, regarding South Africa, Bulgaria, Armenia, etc.
The judge said that the Government has done nothing illegal in taking all of Philips's property and money. This is because, Regulations passed by the Commons and Lords have made it legal to silence anyone the Home Secretary or Foreign Secretary disagree with. The idea is to "incentivis[e] PHILLIPS and others similarly engaged to change their behaviour, especially in the knowledge that such a measure is temporary and reversible." (36.7(a))
In his judgement, the Judge, refused Phillips's claim to have been mistreated by the Government. The judge referred to the Regulations 2019, which allow the government to put sanctions on anyone who disagrees with UK Government foreign policy. Thus:
"
106. The defendant [Foreign Secretary, David Cameron] has Governmental responsibility for foreign policy. If he is entitled to pass regulations under the 2018 Act that can interfere with free speech, then that can produce the side-effect (albeit not by way of the primary intention) of enabling the defendant [David Cameron] to designate people who express views that conflict with his foreign policy objectives.
107. There is no doubt that the 2018 Act was intended to override fundamental rights. Most obviously, it was intended to permit regulations that interfere with property rights – that directly follows from the provisions on financial sanctions.
"

The judge said that any complaints can be 'resolved at the ballot box'. Or:
"The remedy, for someone who objects to such legislation, is at the ballot box, not the court." (S. 104)
--
The judge said that the definition of a British person who can be sanctioned under the 2019 Regulations is as follows:
"[Anybody] who positively supports Russia’s propaganda war against Ukraine (for example, by parroting Russia’s propaganda narrative), rather than simply expressing an independent view which happens to align with Russia’s interests, might be subject to designation." (141)
--
Here is the section of the 2019 Regulations which allow the Government to sanction and take all property from a man, if he disagrees with UK Government foreign policy on Ukraine:
"
The Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019
Designation criteria
6.—
(2) In this regulation an “involved person” means a person who—
(a)is or has been involved in destabilising Ukraine or undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine,
(b)is owned or controlled directly or indirectly (within the meaning of regulation 7) by a person who is or has been so involved,
(c)is acting on behalf of or at the direction of a person who is or has been so involved, or
(d)is a member of, or associated with, a person who is or has been so involved.
"

Ultimately, if you don't support Ukraine, you're are destabilising Ukraine. And therefore your property and means of earning a living can, and sometimes will, be taken from you by UK Government.
Spivs and nerds running the country. One of these days, a politician will arrive who will either declare war on Russia, or back out of it. In the meantime, we head gaily toward Third World standards of living and methods of government.
